The Big Moose Inn in Eagle Bay provides guests with comfortable lakeside lodging, as well as a full service restaurant and tavern in which to dine. According to local legend, however, not all guests are still among the living. The building is haunted by a woman named Grace who, while pregnant, was murdered inside the inn. Grace’s lover struck her over the head and then tried to hide her body in the lake outside, but he was eventually found out and convicted of the crime. Though her lover may have paid for his crime, her spirit still cannot find peace; witnessed have reported seeing her ghost wandering about the lake shore.
