The Campbell Apartment
15 Vanderbilt Ave
New York, NY 10017
New York, NY 10017
Despite its name, the Campbell Apartment was never an actual apartment building. It was once the office of Credit Clearing House president John Campbell, and is currently the site of bar and cocktail lounge. The building is rumored to be haunted by Campbell himself, who dies in 1957; guests and employees have reported hearing phantom organ music, feeling gusts of cold air come from nowhere, having an unseen hand tap them on the shoulder, and seeing doors close on their own.
