The Algonquin Hotel

The Algonquin Hotel, located a short distance from Times Square, was a popular hangout and destination for the literary community during the 1920s. Its Round Table was frequented by “The Vicious Circle,” a large group of writers, actors, editors, and comedians who would meet daily to exchange banter, witticisms, and jokes. Apparently some members of the Circle still like to frequent the Algonquin, as their ghosts have been seen in the hotel to this day.
