National Baseball Hall of Fame

The National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown is well known for highlighting the history of America’s national pastime and paying tribute to the greatest players to have ever picked up a baseball. With relics ranging from lockers and rare baseball cards to jerseys and game balls, and a plaque for each of the more-than 300 inductees, the Hall has plenty of historical exhibits to admire. According to some visitors, it also has a few ghosts.

The plaque gallery seems to be particularly active, as many guests have reported hearing male voices speaking or shouting in the room despite there being no speakers or audio equipment. The men’s restroom door has opened and closed on its own, shadow figures have darted across the building, unexplained noises have been heard, and some employees have said they feel as if they are being watched. One particularly vivid incident involved a guest hearing the voice of Ted Williams saying “preserve, to have courage, to excel and be great” while looking at his exhibit.
