Museum of the Moving Image
Queens, NY 11106
The Museum of the Moving Image in Astoria, Queens is, as the name implies, a museum dedicated to the history of cinema. It also screens hundreds of movies from past and present throughout the year, and is rumored to be haunted. Disembodied footsteps have been heard by visitors, as has the deep voice of a man who cannot be seen. There have also been reports of people seeing the apparition of an African American woman wearing a white dress. They saw she likes to linger near the security desk at the lobby's entrance.

Reviews
I went to NYC last year, and I remember visiting the museum. When I entered the theater, they were screening a version of The Muppets performing 'Octopus's Garden' by The Beatles. I recall feeling a heavy and dark energy in the place... as if something was amiss. When I left the theater, a friend approached me and told me that she literally ran out of the theater because she felt the energy was very dark.

I was at the museum at around 6:45 pm about 15 minutes before closing and I was walking towards the theater area and heard a very deep man behind me that was making noises like he was preparing himself for a speech and then nothing else. I immediately ran down the stairs and exited the building. Overall a cool museum.
