Il Buco, a popular Italian restaurant in New York City, occupies the same building that once house a tavern frequented by Edgar Allan Poe. Its two-century-old wine cellar is rumored to be the inspiration for “The Cask of Amontillado,” and Poe’s ghost is said to still visit his old stomping ground from time to time. Other spirits have been seen and heard in the building as well, including a couple having which seems to be fighting and the cries of an unseen baby.
