Sterling Road - Durhamville NY Real Haunted Place
- Sterling Road
- Durhamville, NY
Sterling Road is a long, winding street located just outside of Sylvan Beach; the road might be creepy enough in its own right at night, but there some strange things happening around it. Locals say they often hear high pitched screaming in the distance when they drive down Sterling Road, and some have seen phantom cars drive by then disappear. Activity is said to increase if you stop your car in the middle of the street. Two gravestones are located on a hill near the road, and rumor has it that there have been several murders on Sterling.
This place is no joke
I spent months chasing ghosts at this place . between screams unexplained noises like something out of a horror movie. Unexplained lights ... Trees falling on command. Car being pushed backwards while in drive. Evps. Large shadow forms caught on camera. Being led to trails that once existed but were never clearly marked on maps. The green eyes that followed us .... Numerous times. Let me say .. We started exploring on foot in the dark and by the end of our experiences i myself will never walk down that road again in the darkness .... Having had experiences during the day as well it is thouroughly terriflying. I will not doubt that the women murdered on that road wander .... My favorite ..... Catherine... She may chat with you if you can catch her . she likes her attention. Posted 6/11/19
