A ghostly woman in white is reported to haunt the Prospect Hill Cemetery. In July of 1874 the woman was seen walking from the cemetery toward a nearby marble-cutting shop. Frightened by the apparition, the shop’s occupants ran out of the back of the building, but the lady in white appeared before them, asking where her children were. One man pulled out his gun and shot the ghost, to no effect; the crowd then followed the ghost back to the cemetery where she vanished. The ghost made another appearance on the following night.

    April 3, 2025 6:00 p.m. Prospect Hill Cemetery East Fulton Street Gloversville, New York I was enjoying a nice walk with some relatives & we decided to wander in the cemetery for a spell. No spells at all, this was real & creepy cool. Of course bc it was my birthday. I wandered into a small forested area that had been resting for a while. I felt a coldness all over my body. I felt a heavy energy in the air. The spirit said it did not want visitors. I proceeded to walk in, underneath the canopy of trees. The wind quickly picked up and blew the trees sideways around me. The spirit wasn’t pleased with me. It’s a sad, crouchy spirit. It just wants to be left alone. Around 9:00 we go for another walk but, this time we didn’t enter the cemetery. We stood on the side of the road on Kingsboro Ave. and took pictures of the night sky over the cemetery. One of my relatives took pics on her cell phone & caught the women in white just floating around and hanging out near the green spirit that was inside the canopy of trees. She sent me some pics and I posted them on my you tube page. In these photos you can clearly see the green floating spirit. It looks like it’s relaxing with a book. I think it’s a genie. ????? Any who it was a great day & night in Kingsborough ??? It was magical, it was my birthday. ???? ?????????? Peace & Love into eternity, Misty ??

  • Wrong photo of sign for Cemetery

    Sign is not correct and also from what I've been finding out this is false true Gloversville's Prospect Hill Cemetery may be haunted but this particular story is untrue. I know because I live in Gloversville, N.Y.
