Visitors and passersby have reported seeing ghostly figures walking along the balcony of Jefferson Market Library. The building also appears to be haunted by a friendly ghost—that of a woman who has been known to catch people’s attention, wave at them, smile, and then disappear! The cause for this strange, but apparently harmless hauntings is unknown.
