Delaware Road has long been held to be haunted by the spirit of an old man. Passersby say that his apparition has walked down the road carrying a lantern, at times alone and at others accompanied by the ghost of a little girl. Some have also reported seeing strange animals that look like a cross between a horse and a dog on the road.

  • Stalked by ghost "dog/wolf'?

Wife and I went there for an investigation at night (Summer 2022 I think?). We didn't get too much, maybe a couple EVP's, heard some footsteps in the trees (could have been an animal) and some strangle orbs of light (Maybe fireflies? but the lights were much bigger). As we were walking back to our car, I saw a mist about 200 ft ahead in front of the car (we had pulled off on the road). I just stood there and watched and realized the mist was turning into two dog/wolf front legs and they were literally moving towards us as if the animal was stalking us. I was so alarmed because I thought it was a real animal, i yelled for my wife to hurry up and get in the car!. Once we both got in, we could still see just the legs slowly moving, stalking forward. My wife freaked out and forced me to pull away (I wanted to stay). As we drove down the road, on the left side of our car above the wheel well, we heard (and felt) what sounded like nails scratching metal. We literally felt the car move a bit from the force, so we drove to the end of the road and got out to check to see if there were any marks on our car. Nothing. I was so disappointed. And if you knew my wife and I, you'd know, we are skeptics by nature and don't believe everything we see or hear! It was definitely one for the books!

  • Fun, Creepy Vibes for a Family Caravan

Took an evening ride down the road hoping for a ghost sighting and a creepy experience. While we did not see any specters, there were definitely a few spooky sights, including glowing eyes, a dorse (horse/dog hybrid) and a shaman-type shrine. Our group stayed in communication via group call and at one point the call abruptly dropped despite service being strong. Would definitely like to give it another try hoping to see some ghosts!

  • Not Much During the Day

Rode down there with my parents a couple times over 30yrs ago. Not much happening, as it was during daylight. Sun was shining. Must admit, though, that it is a very weird place. It's rather isolated, with no homes/buildings along it whatsoever. Only woods, right up to the edge of the road. Even the road didn't seem quite like a road, more like a farm lane. It's as if you've stepped back in time. Or it stood still
