  • Email Verified Saw a shadow person!

We just got back from visiting RHA! My bf and I had a great time! This was our 5th time going. We both decided to go down were the rec room, kitchen, butcher shop and chapel was. We started to go into the chapel when the light from my flashlight shined on a shadow person. It happened so fast. The person was hunched over the piano that was in the back of the chapel. One minute the shadow was there than gone in a blink of a eye! We signed the book near the podium saying we saw a shadow person and I took pictures. But we didn't see another shadow person the rest of the night. Next we went to the barber shop and my bf sat in the barber's chair. He felt tingling on the back of his neck as he sat there for a bit. We of course left a tip and thanked the barber. After that we went through different rooms. Nothing happened so we took a quick break. After the break we headed to the morgue area. The morgue was occupied at the time so we headed into the tunnels to the big room with the toys. We had these cat balls we bought from the gift shop but no ghost touched them. Hopefully next time we go they will. Nothing happen in the big room but as we left I took the three picture deal in the tunnels going back to the morgue. One of the pictures were blurry but had a see through streak in one with orbs near it. Only picture I took was like it. We did go down to Raymond's room and heard a weird noise that sounded very close to us. After Raymond's room we headed to the morgue and I laid down on the metal table. My neck did get cold at one point and we did ask the suit to turn in the opposite direction. Which it did twice for us. Next we went to the solarium with the blue light. Nothing happened until my bf asked for a sign someone was there. The door to the room creaked open a little after he asked that. We checked to see if anyone ghost hunting too were near and there was no one. The last place we went to before we left was back to the chapel. We did hear shuffling of feet near the left side of the room near the chairs. We sat next to the piano on the right side. I did ask if anyone was here with us and a loud knock right outside the chapel was heard. We were the only ones down in the chapel and the rec room was empty.

  • Email Verified Spooky yet so interesting...

Went for the guided tour. The history behind this place is spooky yet so interesting. The place was huge with lots of rooms and staircases. The guide knew every corner of the property. He taught us how to use the equipment and gave us a brief on what to expect. That itself got us shivering. We stayed together as group.

  • Self-tour was scary

The self-tour was scary. I prayed it should all be fine. Though there were some unexplained incidents that jerked us. It was scary and fun.

  • Email Verified Terrifying

Ghost hunting was not something I have ever tried. I just accompanied my friends and I frankly thought all of it could be pranks by the staff. But the asylum bore a deserted look. It was like being in a haunted place and that gave me the chills. The guide was passionate about the subject. He took us through most of the hotspots and facts about the asylum. It was all terrifying.

  • Email Verified Great Time!

We have investigated several times in 2017. Caught some EVP's, and observed several shadows in Shadow Hallway. Will be back very soon for another investigation.

  • Super fun and interesting

Super fun and interesting. It was the finest haunted adventure I ever had since years. Enjoyed every moment and had bummed out so many times. The building was super creepy and history of the building was worth knowledge.

  • Email Verified Expensive and mediocre at best

The building and grounds are amazing, could be very terrifying except majority of it is staged with random objects, toys, garbage, old signs. A fake body made out of hay in a bag in the morgue. It would be truly scarey and chill inducing if there wasn’t junk all over the place.

  • Email Verified Better Then Expected

A much better experience coming to Rolling Hills Asylum then visiting the temporary haunted houses set up around the area temporarily each year. Would recommend to everyone. Kudos to Sarah for saving this beautiful building.

I have been there three times and I was still as creeped out this last time as I was the first time. Even if you are a skeptic...go! It is a once in a lifetime experience!

  • Email Verified Great learning opportunity

Ghost hunting has always been a subject of interest. It is a great learning opportunity to find the history, the length and breadth of the place. My friends and I planned a two-hour guided and self-guided tour. We also booked the paranormal kit. It truly was a terrifying experience. The guide was a knowledgeable person. He knew a great lot about the asylum. Learnt how to use all the equipment. As we were about to leave, we heard a soft murmur which got recorded. It was an exciting moment. We love to return back for more such discoveries.

  • Extraordinary

This was such a mind-blowing experience. We have been to all kind of haunts but to face the real spoof was a challenge. Explored the entire asylum in the dark. Found a few extraordinary moments and that was captured. That was heart racing. Loved the ghost hunt.
