Found between the trees in Mexico Point State Park, Casey’s Cottage was at the start of the 20th century the Mexico Point Club House. It was later renovated into a medieval-style manor house by Dr. William Casey, who passed away in 1978. The cottage stood abandoned for many years before it was eventually renovated and opened to the public; during that time, many people broke into the cottage and reported strange experiences.

Cold spots and the feeling of being watched are commonly reported, and some have even heard the faint sound of organ music. Orbs have been seen and disembodied voices heard, and a few people report feeling as though someone were physically touching them. The apparition of a young woman has also been seen and heard crying for help; she is allegedly the spirit of a lady buried under a tree near the lake. Other fast-moving apparitions have darted across the cottage, furniture has moved on its own, and objects such as keys have vanished mysteriously only to turn up in unusual locations.
