Built in the late 19th century, Belhurst Castle provides luxurious accommodations and a scenic view to guests. In addition to the rooms and onsite restaurants, however, some visitors have reported experiencing paranormal activity. A ghostly lady in white has been seen roaming the halls of Belhurst; she is alleged to be the spirit of an opera singer who died in the building. Some legends say that the singer died while trying to escape a jilted lover through the castle’s underground tunnels (which were dug to smuggle alcohol during prohibition), but no one has ever found the tunnels.

Beautiful and Spooky!

My parents went to Belhurst for a weekend vacation (unfortunately leaving me at home!), but they came back with one heck of a crazy story. My dad, on the first morning they stayed there, woke up early in the morning to his alarm going off. He thought it was wierd, considering he never set alarms and, even wierder, they'd planned to just hang out that day. So, he got up to turn the alarm off and the TV TURNED ITSELF ON! We're still not sure if it was the ghost of Isabelle playing a prank, since she's been known to fiddle with the bathroom taps and sing on occasion. So crazy, I wish I'd been there!
