1890 House
Cortland, NY 13045
The 1890 House was built in the late 19th century as a home for Chester Wickwire, a rich industrialist. Today the old limestone mansion operates as a historic museum, open for visitation by the public. Those who have taken pictures inside the building have found that their photos did not always come out as intended, with floating orbs and ghostly figures often appearing in them. Some speculate that the mansion is haunted by Wickwire himself, as well as his wife Ardell, son Raymond, and a servant girl named Victoria who allegedly committed suicide in the building.
