Brae Loch Inn
Cazenovia, NY 13035
Built in 1805, Brae Loch Inn was originally part of the William Burr Estate and is now a small inn complete with a full service restaurant. The building has long been rumored to be haunted, with rooms 11 and 12 said to be particularly active. Strange noises are regularly heard, as well as the phantom sound of tap shoes on the staircase, and three apparitions are often seen. A young girl wearing a blue dress appears with a tray full of candles in hand, a shadow male figure, and a man dubbed “Scotty” wearing a kilt have all been spotted.

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights in Room #11 October 16th & 17th. We both viewed paranormal experiences in the room during the two nights when we were their My wife saw a light that came out of the wall above the picture of a dog with creepy eyes above the fireplace and flew over to the window and vanished. Another sighting was different colored lights at the foot of the bed were flowing up and down, and it to vanished. I woke up and saw a 3 foot doll standing as a shadowy figure on our blanket looking at me without a face. Went to reach out to it and it disappeared as well. A young girl with a white dress wearing a bonnet ,with a baby face, laid between us and it to vanished . None of these spirits uttered a word All the curtains were closed of the light that flew across the room. it was not a car passing by as we stayed on the 2nd floor. 4 years ago when we stayed in room # 12 I felt a cold chill that blew through the room while watching TV and headed to the closet in the corner. All the windows were closed so it was not the wind. We were closed mouth about this, until today. The Brae Loch Inn is really haunted!!!! Many thanks to our hosts the Barr family and friendly staff for their help in making our stay their Great!!! Also to the staff on Sunday morning for helping me with my arm. Looking forward to our next adventure in the future in Room #14 as it is equally haunted. Want to thank our friendly spirits who haunted us, Sarah, Cathy , Connie, Andrew, Stephen, Jeff, Peter and all the rest through out the Inn! I We had a HAUNTING good time!!
