Old Burial Hill Cemetery
Route 25A and Platt Place
Huntington, NY 11743
Huntington, NY 11743
The first grave on site was dug in 1712, but numerous tombstones have since been moved and torn down when the land was turned to a fort to serve the British soldiers of the Revolution. Unfortunately some say many bodies never made it back to the correct grave. This was also ground for the burial of many soldiers. Many say the ground is home to the ghost of Colonel Thompson and Rev. Ebenezer Prime, and children who would vanish into the air.
