German Roman Catholic Orphan Asylum
Buffalo, NY 14208
The German-Roman Catholic Orphan Asylum in Buffalo was an expansion of St. Mary’s Church which was built between 1874 and 1875. Additional buildings were raised over the next few decades, and one had to be repaired after a fire broke out in 1919. Another fire destroyed the main building in 1956 and the orphanage closed a year later. The complex was closed some years later, and has been abandoned ever since. Locals say that the religious campus is quite haunted, with unexplained noises such as the sound of running water being heard. Colorful floating orbs have also popped up in photos taken of the area.

Reviews
In order to build the orphanage, a cemetery had to be relocated . All of the bodies were exhumed and reburied in a mass grave along Pine Ridge Rd in Cheektowaga ( near the blinking red light ). Now, fast forward to within the last ten years. Unfortunately , a building at the location was so far gone, that it couldn't be saved and had to be destroyed but not all of them. In fact the one building was converted into an apartment building .And the chapel now serves as an office. I haven't heard any reports of activity since the makeover.
