This place is now known as The Plaza in Montauk, and it is where the Fort Hill Cemetery sits. It is believed to be haunted by the spirits of the Montaukette Indians.
Those who visit the Montauk Manor may even come to hear the sounds of faint beating drums. Other spirits are believed to exist here as well, including that of Teddy Roosevelt's Rough Riders who died of disease.
